Think – just kidding – of the chancellor a few weeks ago in the summer, Nadhim Zahavi, who strongly endorsed Boris Johnson as prime minister at the weekend.
And here’s what he had to say to all Telegraph readers who don’t use Twitter.
… only for Johnson to announce he won’t be running almost immediately afterwards, prompting Zahavi to come up with it on Twitter, the most excruciating Tory U-turn of late.
If you look closely, you can see his Twitter profile turning red.
This isn’t Zahawi’s first comedy, The U-turn, before Johnson, and it comes just a few months after he did it.
It didn’t go unnoticed by, well, pretty much anyone, and here are our favorite things people had to say about it.

Perhaps it’s a bit unfortunate for Nadhim Zahavi that this was published just as Boris pulled out. pic.twitter.com/9qxMa6zZJK

By 9:03 a.m., Nadhim Zahavi had already left six voicemails and sent four emails to The Telegraph’s publishing staff asking for his latest article to be removed. pic.twitter.com/TX0sI6N51a

When Boris called him and asked him to humiliate himself completely and utterly, for no reason, did he think that he was calling Nadine, not Nadhim?

108 days after telling Boris Johnson he must resign, Nadhim Zahavi is now calling for him to return. It is not difficult to understand the state of the country with these people at the head. pic.twitter.com/T9qWANf0NN

You know I never speak ill of other media organisations* because you never know when one day you might need to collaborate, but the timing of this opinion on the Telegraph website is almost at the same time that Boris’s company Johnson stopped – impressive. pic.twitter.com/yhZauHrhNG
