Think – just kidding – of the chancellor a few weeks ago in the summer, Nadhim Zahavi, who strongly endorsed Boris Johnson as prime minister at the weekend.

And here’s what he had to say to all Telegraph readers who don’t use Twitter.

… only for Johnson to announce he won’t be running almost immediately afterwards, prompting Zahavi to come up with it on Twitter, the most excruciating Tory U-turn of late.

If you look closely, you can see his Twitter profile turning red.

This isn’t Zahawi’s first comedy, The U-turn, before Johnson, and it comes just a few months after he did it.
