Eamonn Holmes Still Wearing Wedding Ring After Split from Ruth Langsford, Who Returns to Loose Women Wearing Hers
Eamonn Holmes continues to wear his wedding ring following his split from Ruth Langsford, who returned to her hosting duties on Loose Women on Monday, also sporting her ring. The Belfast-born presenter, 64, wore his wedding band during an extra shift on GB News on Sunday, in addition to his regular duties.
Holmes appeared alongside Anne Diamond on GB News and shared a photo of the two of them on Instagram. He captioned the post: “Called into present extra this morning and what a pleasure it turned out to be with the legend that is Anne Diamond.” He added, “Great response from you on a lot of the subjects we covered. See u in the Morning!” In the image, Holmes’s wedding ring was clearly visible as he posed with his arm around Diamond’s shoulder.
In June, it was announced that Holmes and Langsford had split after 14 years of marriage. They have one son, Jack, together. Holmes also has three children from a previous marriage. Friends of the couple told The Sun that their relationship had changed after their departure from ITV’s This Morning in 2021.
Holmes has also shared his health struggles, recently using a Zimmer frame to help him walk. In 2021, he opened up about his battle with chronic pain after an MRI scan revealed a dislocated pelvis. In 2022, he underwent back surgery to fix three slipped discs, and in 2023, he returned to the hospital after breaking his shoulder.
Langsford, 64, took an extended break from presenting Loose Women following the news of her marriage breakdown. She appeared excited as she prepared for her return on Monday, sharing a video of the Loose Women sign at the studio on her Instagram Stories. She captioned the post: “Back on the Loose! Hope you can join us!”
As the show began, Langsford addressed her return, telling viewers, “Welcome to your first Loose Women of the week, it’s great to have your company!” Coleen Nolan, also on the show, expressed her support, saying, “Can I just say – I am so so happy that you’re back!” The audience clapped as Janet Street-Porter added, “Thank God! Thank God! I was left with her and her!” Langsford apologized, saying, “I’m sorry, Janet. I won’t do it again,” referring to her time away from the show.
Loose Women’s Instagram page shared a picture of Langsford and Nolan hugging as they welcomed her back. Langsford wore a bright orange blazer and a white t-shirt for her return, along with her wedding ring on her left hand. The split from Holmes was not discussed on the show, and Holmes has not mentioned it during his work on GB News.
