Duchess v Cambridge well known for her love of superfoods like avocados and green smoothies, not to mention goji berries and popcorn. However, while visiting The Old Boot Inn in Stanford Dingley, Berkshire Duchess likes to enjoy a classic British pudding.

Chef Roddy Warot told People that the Princess of Wales was particularly fond of the “moist and spongy” dessert.

He said: “Kate is always reserved and always complimented food with great kindness… For dessert her favorite is sticky toffee pudding. It’s moist and spongy.’

However, the Duchess isn’t the only member of the firm known for her sweet tooth, as her husband Prince William is known to indulge in anything
from chocolate to cake.

According to former royal chef Darren McGrady, he created a chocolate sponge cake for the late Queen, which he described as a “chocoholic”, and the Duke of Cambridge also loved it.

In fact, the royal family liked it so much that they invited it to be their groom’s cake at their wedding in 2011.

Chocolatier Barry Collens revealed that the special chocolate wedding cake was made to Buckingham Palace’s specifications, including rich tea biscuits.

He said: “Although McVitie’s Cake Company and I designed the wedding cake, we carefully followed the guidelines issued by Buckingham Palace to make sure it was right.

“It was rich, indulgent and creamy with a very tender texture that the Rich Tea Biscuits got.”

“Anything we put on the menu with chocolate, she went for it, especially the chocolate cake.”
