musicMagpie has launched a subscription service for enterprise devices.

The extension to the ‘musicMagpie Circular’ offer allows businesses to lease and manage Apple iPhones and iPads for subscriptions from £13 a month.

Leasing the device ensures that it is returned to MusicMagpie when it is no longer needed, greatly extending the life of the device and its parts.

The standard subscription period is 24 months and includes an extended warranty, online management tools, and a range of personalized support services. At the end of the term, the devices can be renewed, upgraded to the latest technology or returned.

musicMagpie has partnered with sustainability-focused managed IT service provider Utelize Mobile for musicMagpie Circular subscription and recycling services. The partnership provides customers with an online portal and support function that provides simplified device management throughout its lifecycle. It eliminates the traditional challenges faced by IT teams by streamlining processes and improving productivity.

Stagecoach is the first major customer for the B2B subscription service, which will build on the group’s existing ‘musicMagpie Circular’ partnership with Deloitte and Zurich, who are current clients of its corporate recycling programme.

The Stagecoach partnership sees the deployment of fully pre-configured and supported iPads across Stagecoach’s extensive network of bus engineers.

musicMagpie Circular is led by musicMagpie’s Matt Harrison, who joined the business from Asda as Chief Development and Partnerships Officer in May 2022.

“The economic environment facing both consumers and businesses is increasingly tough, and many are experiencing affordability and cash flow challenges,” he said.

“Against this backdrop, our proposition to enable businesses to reduce their initial device investment through a monthly subscription, while contributing to the circular economy, becomes increasingly attractive.

“With our consumer rental offering growing to over 24,000 active subscribers in May 2022, and Stagecoach already signed up as one of our first large enterprise customers, we are confident it will become a popular service for businesses, who can now also reap the rewards from rent”.

In July, musicMagpie secured a three-year, £30m revolving credit facility from HSBC UK and NatWest to fuel rental growth.
