Power outages are expected to affect more than 70 homes in 12 Bolton zip codes next week.

According to Electricity North West, the cuts will come into effect on Wednesday 26 October and will affect up to 76 homes and businesses in BL7 0BS, BL7 0BX, BL7 0BU, BL7 0BR, BL7 0BT, BL7 0AY, BL7 0AX. , BL7 0AR, BL7 0AT, BL7 0QG, BL7 0DU and BL7 0ED postcodes around Edgeworth and Turton.

The utility says this is being done so its engineers can safely complete maintenance work on the power cables.

A statement from Electricity North West said: “We appreciate your patience while our engineers carry out a planned power cut in your area. This is to improve the reliability of your electricity supply and to enable our engineers to work safely on the cables that supply electricity to your home or business.’

The company says they will work to restore power as soon as possible after work on the power cables begins.

Electricity North West regularly plans power outages in the region to allow its engineers to carry out maintenance.

The population and enterprises are warned in advance on the enterprise’s website.
