On Monday, mum-of-five Chontelle Duncan opened up about her 1,700-calorie ‘day on a plate’, which doesn’t exclude homemade burgers or a sweet dessert after dinner.

33-year-old from Brisbane posted a video on Instagram and said that her daily food intake often changes depending on what she feels like eating.

To celebrate, Chontelle started her day with two slices of toast topped with butter, cream cheese and melted cheese, along with a macadamia nut latte.

What does Chontelle Duncan eat a day?

Breakfast – two pieces of buttered toast, Vegemite with melted cheese and a macadamia nut latte

The morning snack is a toasted sandwich with a WPI shake

Lunch is a noodle stir-fry with Quorn pieces

Afternoon tea – Yogurt with blueberries

Dinner is a spicy Quorn burger with salad and cheese and chips with gravy

Dessert – passion fruit and honey ice cream

The recommended daily calorie intake is 2,000 calories per day for women and 2,500 for men.

Chontelle has previously shared that she often puts her children’s nutrition ahead of her own, something other parents relate to.

“Being a busy mom, I think nutrition is the first thing I sacrifice. I can easily forget to eat for the first half of the day, leaving me starving like a wild animal until noon. As a result, I eat food with the weight of my entire body,” she wrote on Instagram.

“OR I buy high sugar, processed food at the coffee shop.

“My goal is to get back to normal, prioritize my needs and fuel my body, especially when I’m living on minimal sleep.”
