Should the Toronto Maple Leafs keep Nick Robertson or use him in a package for? Yaakov Chykhrun?

Michael Traikos of the Toronto Sun: Should Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson stay on the line with John Tavares and William Nylander or should he be used in exchange for Arizona Coyotes linebacker Jakob Chychrun?

with Jake Mazin indefinitely, everything points to Arizona.

The biggest need for the Maple Leafs right now is more elite defensemen. Someone who can play tough minutes and someone young enough to grow with the team.

Chykhrun, 24, has $4.6 million remaining in three years and led NHL defensemen with 18 goals in 56 games two years ago. He plays with a certain edge to his game and has a great shot from the point.

Teams believed to have some interest include the Ottawa Senators, Edmonton Oilers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues, and possibly most recently ” Vancouver Canucks” and “Florida Panthers”.

The Leafs have pieces to make a trade and they are in “win” mode.

What is the big picture for the Vancouver Canucks?

“Overall, this might be the best team we’ve ever seen JT Millerrecently signed extension.

At some point, this team is going to have to contend with their $15.26 million Oliver Ekman-Larsson and JT Miller who wholeheartedly support the works.

I know what JT Miller did last year, but he’s spent his entire career as an extreme, high-caliber power forward. Not a star player. The team signed him to be a star player after a stellar season after playing as a first-line center for the first time in his career.

And it doesn’t look good. You have a ton of bloated old guy deals. You still have it Elias Petterson to extend not after this season, but after the next. That price tag is going to be big.

At this point, it will be very difficult for this team to capitalize on a major season from Hughes, Peterson and Demko. It wasn’t meant to be this way, and the fact that you brought in new management and they kind of doubled down on that list made it even more difficult to unravel.

Like this team, which should at least be fun, is in position to win for the tenth time in a row. You can just feel the Canucks fans. Canucks fans are screaming at this team, “Just come up with a plan that can bring the Stanley Cup to Vancouver.” And instead they say, “Oh, oh, oh, that’s what you want.” How about this, we’ll try to sneak into the Wild Card spot.

Nah, the fans are sick of it. You can smell when the organization doesn’t have a plan, that’s what it smells like around the Canucks.”
