British rapper Lady Leshurr has appeared in court accused of assaulting her ex-girlfriend and her new partner on a street in East London.

Prosecutors allege the 34-year-old artist, whose real name is Melesha O’Gara, assaulted Sidney Hussain and Shante Baieau around 5 a.m. on Saturday after leaving the club in Hackney Wick.

Two women, both 27 years old, were taken to hospital but later discharged.

Thames Magistrates’ Court was told Ms Boea was driving to work along Notts Green Road, Walthamstow, when the incident happened.

O’Gara, of Kingshurst, Birmingham, will face a jury trial on two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

Smith, of Yardley, Birmingham, is accused of the same offence.

Both women pleaded not guilty and were released on their own recognizance with conditions prohibiting them from contacting the applicants.

Another hearing will take place at Snaresbrook Crown Court on November 21.

Leshour, 34, is best known for her Queen’s Speech series of freestyles. The fourth part contains a chorus with the phrase “brush your teeth”.

She also appeared in the thirteenth episode of the ITV series Dancing on Ice.
