Bindi Irwin criticized her ‘pathetic and unhelpful’ response to farm owner who asked her for help with major tragedy: ‘You’re not impressive and it’s polite’

Bindi Irwin has been condemned for her ‘pathetic’ response to a US farm owner’s plea for help after she lost 99% of her birds bird flu.

Taylor Blake, also known as Eco Sister Twittermade a desperate plea to the Irvine clan last week after confiding in her beloved emu and TikTok fan favorite Emmanuel contracted the virus.

She offered to fly any of their contacts or members of the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital to her Knuckle Bump Farm in South Florida to help rescue Emmanuel.

Bindi responded by saying she couldn’t offer much support because the team at her hospital had never treated the birds for bird flu, but sent her “love and prayers” to the farm.

Fans are now flocking to social media to call Bindi’s response “pathetic and unhelpful”.

“What a pathetic, unhelpful response. Zero effort to help when you are in a supposedly unique position to use your influence and contacts to actually help her. Thoughts and prayers are cheap. You’re not impressive, and that’s polite,” one person said.

“Thoughts and prayers are nice, but is there anyone you can recommend given your family’s many years in the industry?” – agreed another.

Taylor has been sharing the story of her sick emu, Emmanuel, on social media after her farm in South Florida was hit by an outbreak.

She explained that she had lost every chicken and duck, as well as many geese, turkeys and swans.

Taylor made a desperate plea to the Irvine clan after she believed Emanuel had contracted the flu, but later tested negative for the virus.

She expressed her admiration for the family, seeking advice.

“I have been a supporter of your family for as long as I can remember and now I am reaching out to you in utter desperation,” she tweeted.

“I need help rescuing my emu, Emmanuel. I’ll pay to get someone to us if they can help, no questions asked.’

Bindi replied, “Thank you so much for reaching out.”

“Although our wildlife hospital has treated more than 100,000 animals, including emus, we have never treated an emu with this particular disease,” she added.

“We will need to rely on our animal expert colleagues who have more experience dealing with this bird flu.”

Bindi continued: “Our hearts go out to you and we appreciate that you care so deeply and have such compassion for dear Emmanuel.

“We believe that we should all love every single animal.

“We hope someone with more experience in their field can be helpful. Sending love and light your way from all of our family.”
