Vance Joy has revealed that he was duped by fake emails from ‘Nicole Kidman’ not once, but twice.

Carrey handed the Riptide singer a letter she claimed was from Bombshell star Nicole, 55, leaving Vance in tears, only to be left devastated when he discovered it was all a cruel joke.

“Well, Carrie played a joke on me, we were both in London and I came to the show,” he explained on Monday’s The Project.

“I kind of told her my favorite celebrity is Nicole Kidman,” he continued.

“So Carrie and Tommy wrote a letter from Nicole Kidman and gave it to me and I just believed it at that moment! It was brutal and I felt stupid, but it was also funny.”

Vance admitted he broke down in tears over the letter – and it wasn’t the first time someone had played such a prank on him.

“When I was about eight years old, I had a crush on Nicole Kidman and my aunt wrote a fake letter,” he admitted.
