In just two months, Hoolie in the Hydro will be coming to Glasgow with some of the best musicians on the Scottish and Irish scene.

Promoter Gary Innes has confirmed that the first special guest to be added to the bill is none other than former Runrig frontman Donnie Munro.

Taking place at the OVO Hydro on Saturday 17 December, the world-first event could be the biggest night of traditional music ever happen.

The star-studded night of entertainment will showcase some of the biggest and best names on the Scottish and Irish traditional music scene, including renowned Caledonian singer Dougie McLean, Celtic rockers Mànran, Irish band Sharon Shannon, award-winning Scottish band Skerryvore and festival favorites Trail West.

The audience will be greeted by a band of bagpipes and a stellar Celid orchestra.

There will also be an unforgettable encore featuring a host of special guests stageincluding Donnie Munro to round off the evening in extraordinary style.

The first time the arena has been hired by an individual in the UK to showcase an evening entirely dedicated to traditional music, Hoolie in the Hydro will be a landmark moment for the traditional music scene.
