Subway has announced the expansion of the new product to hundreds of stores across the UK and Ireland following a trial earlier this year.
SubMelts, which are pressed and toasted Subs with a melted cheese filling, were initially only available in 40 stores, but will be available in nearly 500 as of today.
Four flavors will be available for SubMelts, including The Big Cheese-Steak, The Supremo, Pizziola BMT ® and VIBrie.
Subway described the Big Cheese Steak as “a play on the Philadelphia classic, filled with Philly steak, mozzarella, American-style cheese, caramelized red onions, peppers and topped with Subway’s famous Chipotle Southwest sauce.”
Meanwhile, the Supremo is a vegetarian option that features mozzarella and American cheese, pesto, peppers, black pepper and marinara sauce.
By comparison, the Pizziola BMT is described as “one for meat lovers” with pepperoni, ham, salami, mozzarella, American cheese, peppers, red onion and marinara sauce.
And finally, the VIBrie features creamy Brie, American style cheese, maple smoked streaky bacon, caramelized red onions and sweet onion sauce.
