the orcs A series of one-day strikes are planned at Southampton Airport as part of a pay dispute.

Members of Uniteincluding dispatchers, firefighters, technicians and engineering workers, will strike for 24 hours on November 5, 12 and 19.

Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: “During the pandemic, workers at Southampton Airport have made huge sacrifices, accepting reduced pay and conditions, working around the clock to keep the airport safe and running.

Inflation is now at a 40-year high. It is completely wrong for employers, AGS, to deny these safety-critical workers a decent pay rise after a three-year freeze.

“The workers are enough. Airport bosses must make a realistic offer on staff pay to avoid escalating the dispute. They have to do it now.”
