Armand Choukadriyan, a Pasadena chiropractor, said he and his family are considering moving after Monday’s random attack at their home

A Pasadena man whose home was attacked by a neighbor with a pickaxe while his child and mother-in-law were inside said the family was left so traumatized that they may leave.

Beverly Baker, 65 years old was caught on camera with the weapon on Monday afternoon in a horrific attack that police believe was random and the result of a mental health disorder.

Baker was caught on Armand Choukadrian’s Ring camera approaching the house, then smashing windows before leaving and returning to smash more.

Chukadriyan’s mother-in-law was in the house with his little daughter, who was sleeping in a cradle near one of the windows.

Choukadriyan, a chiropractor, said the child would have been seriously injured if not for her grandmother’s rescue.

“I don’t know if we need to leave, but this is not our safe place at the moment,” he said.

“It’s a constant reminder of what happened.”

Baker was charged Wednesday with vandalism and will be arraigned Friday in Pasadena Superior Court, said Matthew Krasnowski, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Chukadriyan seeks a restraining order.
