Pictures show the scene of the accident on the A23 in Pyecombe in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened around 2.15 am.
Police, ambulance and emergency crews can be seen.
This is the second accident on the same road in 24 hours.
The the first incident involved a car and a van shortly before 12.45pm yesterday on the A23, southbound, opposite a Texaco garage.
One of the cars overturned.
Sussex Police confirmed there were only minor injuries at the scene of yesterday’s crash.
Police have been asked for more information about the incident, which happened this morning.
