Rishi Sunak is the new Prime Minister of Great Britain after winning the support of an overwhelming majority of the Conservative Parliamentary Party following a disastrous reign Liz Truss.

Mr. Sunak is a familiar face after serving as Boris Johnsonchancellor in everything Corona virus infection covid-19 pandemic, when he ran a £69bn holiday scheme to keep people in work and the Eat Out to Help Out campaign to boost economic growth.

At the time, he was also criticized after he got into the Partygate a furor over which he received a fixed penalty notice, over revelations about his wealthy wife’s tax strategies and over his unpopular spring statement earlier this year, which was seen as not going far enough to protect the public from a worsening cost-of-living crisis.
