In a message shared to Instagram October 25 The Real Housewives of Orange County alum shared that her 14-year-old son, Milesis transgender.

“He’s a month under 15 now so he’s seen questions and comments about him on my IG,” Alexis wrote alongside a photo of the two. “Myles now has a voice and asked me to do this post. I have stopped posting for the past few months due to a change in Miles’ life, but now he is ready to “come out” and use this platform to stop any hate or questions. I resisted posting this for him for a while, but now I know Miles really wants me to post this because he’s tired of the misnomer and confusion people are getting, so we’re setting the record straight and hopefully bringing some clarity.” .

“I can’t imagine the strength and courage it took for my child to do that,” she added. “But I am extremely proud of him and I want everyone to understand that love does not change in such situations. It’s unconditional love.”
