Police have reported a crash on Glasgow’s main road this morning.

The crash slowed traffic on the M8 near junctions 11 and 12 in Rydrie at around 7am this morning, the Glasgow Times reported.

Updated just after 8 a.m. Traffic Scotland confirmed that the road in the area remains blocked westbound and traffic is slowing from junction 10 at Easterhouse.

A spokesman for the force has now confirmed that officers have been called to a one-car crash and recovery has been organised.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 7am on Monday 24 October 2022, officers were called to reports of a single vehicle crash on the M8 westbound between junctions 11 and 12.

“Emergency services attended and steps were taken to recover the vehicle.”
