Child actor Ian Armitage took to Instagram last week to share a photo with Jim Parsons, his young Sheldon co-star.
The 14-year-old Big Little Lies alum flashed a megawatt smile in the snap and paired it with a lengthy caption.
“When I heard @therealjimparsons was coming on stage in the @classicstage production of Man of No Importance I knew I had to get there,” he said.

He began by sharing his love for the Big Apple during the fall season: “And that’s the whole reason I went to New York! It’s one of my favorite places to go in the fall, so I’m always looking for an excuse to get there.”
Speaking to his 624,000 followers on the photo-sharing platform, he added: “I ended up sitting front row for the preview and it was so, so, so great!”
He then praised his fellow actor’s performance in the off-Broadway show, noting, “Jim is amazing, and he’s surrounded by an incredible cast. Honestly, I want to go back and see it all again!’
Speaking to his fans, he asked: “Did you see this? Will you make it? Please let me know! In this musical, Jim plays Alfie, a theater-loving bus conductor in Dublin in 1964.’

In the photo, the two posed side by side as 49-year-old Jim lovingly embraced the younger man.
Behind them in the empty hall were rows of empty purple seats.
Jim was wearing a gray on gray patterned shirt and jacket, with a backpack strap on one of his shoulders.
To those reading his thoughtful caption, he insisted, “You’ve never seen Jim Parsons in a role like this.”
“I feel so happy and blessed that I have to go!” he wrote before adding the final line: “I was so happy to see Jim again!!!”

Since 2017, Armitage has played a younger version of Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory spinoff, narrated by Parsons.
Set in the late ’80s, the sixth season of the series premiered on CBS on September 29.
Back in 2021, it was renewed by the network for a seventh season.
