Gogglebox star Sandra Martin has left her followers in shock as she took a series of hilarious photos next to her friend who was rushed to hospital.

The 60-year-old reality star said she was forced to call 999 after her 82-year-old friend struggled to breathe, prompting an ambulance and fire crew to respond.

However, despite the shocking scenes unfolding around her, Sandra took the time to pose for a selfie with the firefighters, giving a thumbs up as she leaned over her friend who was on a stretcher.

Sandra tweeted: “Yes EVERYONE I left Derby to move in with my BEST FRIEND ANN MARIE of 40 years to look after her… TODAY she couldn’t breathe so I called 999 but HAD to be fire brigade to come.

“THANK YOU NHS FIRE SERVICE FOR GETTING MY BEST FRIEND ANN MARIE TO HOSPITAL AND TING XXX.”

She later announced to fans: “.. MY BEST FRIEND WAS OK, SHE WAS IN GOOD HANDS… THANKS AGAIN NHS.

“CAN I WISH YOU ALL A GOOD MORNING X SANDRAGOGGLEBOX INDAOUSE AND TING XXX THANK YOU FOR THE FAST GETTING MY FRIEND ANN MARIE 40 YEARS. SHE’S BACK ALL X’

“YES SHE’S BACK AND WELL…I CAN’T HELP THE AMBULANCE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS WERE IN COMPLETE SHOCK WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR. THEY WERE OBVIOUSLY MY 1 MILLION FANS #SANDRAGOGGLEBOX

Sandra starred in the Channel 4 show alongside best friend Sandy Bogle from its inception in 2013 until her departure in 2017.

During her time on the show, she won over British audiences with her infectious coo and love of noodles, but in 2018 she experienced hard times and became homeless.

The fan favorite said she spent her earnings from the show – believed to be around £1,500 a month – on food and hair.
