British rapper Lady Leshurr has been charged with assault after a fight in east London.

Police were called to reports of an altercation in Walthamstow at around 5.08am on Saturday.

The two women, both 27, were taken to the hospital and have since been released, police said.

Leshour, whose real name is Melesha O’Gara, was charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm.

Sherella Smith, 28, was charged with assault causing bodily harm.

They are both due to appear at London’s Thames Magistrates’ Court later today.

Leshour, 34, is best known for her Queen’s Speech series of freestyles. The fourth part became well known for its chorus, in which the phrase “brush your teeth” was repeated.

The rapper, who has also appeared as a contestant on ITV’s Dancing On Ice, was led away by police from the scene of the fight in the early hours of Saturday, The Sun reports.
