Clive is an enthusiastic and popular public speaker with a passion for Irish history and has the ability to engage audiences large and small on a wide variety of topics. He has written 14 books since 1995 and on his first visit to Draperstown the topic will be Education in Ireland. In 2007 the Society published a book on Ballinascreen Schools, followed by a book on Blackhill School in 2020. It is hoped that this talk may inspire others to research the history of the local school, and the Society will gladly accept any manuscript and consider it for publication. This richly illustrated talk will take place at the Community Center – next to Draperstown Library – on Tuesday November 1 – at 8pm. Entry fee is £3 for non-members.
