The search was underway on Sunday after police confirmed there were reports of a paraglider in potential distress in the Drumahoe area of Londonderry.
A PSNI spokesman said both ground and air searches were underway but the paraglider in question had not yet been found.
“We are currently investigating a report of a potential paraglider difficulty over the Drumahoe area of Derry/Londonderry.
“Ground and air searches are continuing in the Drumahoe and Ardnabroke areas but the paraglider has not been found.
“If you have been paragliding in this area today, could you please contact us on 101 quoting reference number 623 23/1022 to let us know you are safe.”
