One man arrested after emergency services were called to a fight in Armagh has been released.

Two men were taken to hospital and another man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including grievous bodily harm.

The incident happened in the area of ​​Upper English Street on Thursday evening.

Sgt Bigger said: “Just before 11pm, officers attended the Upper English Street area of ​​Armagh following reports of a fight in the area.

Police have arrested a man after attacking two other men in Armagh.

“Our colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

“Two men were later taken to the hospital with injuries. One 20-year-old man was detained on suspicion of committing crimes, including attempted grievous bodily harm.”

The PSNI later said a 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of offenses including attempted grievous bodily harm following the attack had been bailed pending further police enquiries.

“The investigation into the circumstances of this incident continues.

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have captured mobile phone or other footage, to get in touch.
