Arch-rivals India and Pakistan clash in the first match of their ICC Super 12 campaign T20 World Cup 2022. For cricket lovers, this match literally had everything – drama, tension, tense moments, excitement, thrills and much more.

Rohit Sharma-led India were on the verge of losing, but coming from behind, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya’s 113-run stand changed the complexion of the game. Kohli then single-handedly began to dictate the match, scoring an unbeaten knock of 82 runs from just 53 balls to lead the Men in Blue to a thrilling victory.

The sensational knock was appreciated not only by the fans but also by the members of the cricket fraternity. Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh praised the clash at a pre-match press conference against Sri Lanka.

“I actually think we should just stop the World Cup at this point. Um, if it gets any better, we’re in for an amazing three weeks. India vs Pakistan is always an incredible game to watch. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be in that crowd and be a part of it,” said the station wagon.

“But yeah. It’s amazing. Virat Kohli has had an indifferent 12 months when you think about his career. And for him to do that, um, you know, leave his mark on the World Cup and it was incredible to watch, an incredible game. So , hopefully there are a few more like that, Marsh said enthusiastically.

Australia take on Sri Lanka in their bid to keep their semi-final hopes alive by defending their title. The Aussies need a win because of their blighted clean sheet after the loss to New Zealand.
