The four were arrested after Just Stop Oil protesters threw a cake at King Charles IIIwax statue at Madame Tussauds.

On Monday, at a London attraction, activists approached the figure and displayed T-shirts with the name of the climate group.

They threw the cake in the face of the real statue of the king.

The Metropolitan Police reported that four people were arrested for criminal damage after the protest.

Just Stop Oil has pledged to take action every day this month in a call for an end to new oil and gas licenses.

It also has activists closed a key crossing over the Thames, blocked roads in the capital and spilled human faeces in honor of Sir Captain Tom Moore.

Just Stop Oil released a video on Monday morning showing two protesters approaching a wax figure of the king, which stood next to statues of Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

One of the activists shouted “time to act” before both threw a chocolate cake at the statue.

A Madame Tussauds employee could be heard yelling, “Guys, stop.”

Some of the cake also appeared to have splattered onto the wax figure of the Queen Consort.

In a statement shortly before 11.30am, the Met said: “We responded quickly to an incident at Madame Tussauds after two people threw food at the statue at around 10.50am. They are both arrested for causing damage.”

Minutes later, police said: “Four people have been arrested for criminal damage in connection with this incident.”
