Johnny Depp will tour the UK with his rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires next year.

Celebrity band consisting of Alice Cooper, Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and Dept – will begin in Scarborough in July 2023. Guitarist Tommy Henriksen will also join the tour.

The band was previously forced to cancel their 2020 tour due to the pandemic.

Dep – who earlier this year won a defamation case worth millions of dollars against his ex-wife Amber Heard – has recently returned to his music.

59-year-old performed with rock legend Jeff Beck at several concerts, including in Sheffield, London and Gateshead, while he awaited the jury’s verdict.

The pair later announced a joint album titled 18, which contained two original tracks alongside a number of classic rock covers.

Depp too made a surprise cameo at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards – joked to the audience that he “needed a job” as he was shown on stage dressed as an astronaut.

The actor had sued Hurd over a 2018 article she wrote for The Washington Post about her experience as a victim of domestic violence in which his lawyers say he was falsely accused of rape.

Representatives for Depp said he lost work opportunities and high-profile roles after the allegations, such as dropping out of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

After his victory in court, there were rumors that the actor might even return to the Fantastic Beasts franchise..

The Hollywood Vampires traditionally perform songs in honor of “the great lost heroes of music” as well as some of their own original material.

The band has two albums – 2015’s self-titled debut album and 2019’s Rise.

Speaking about the new tour, Cooper said: “Well, it’s been three years since Vampires toured because of COVID.

“Also, Johnny’s got his movies, Joe’s in Aerosmith and I’m in Alice Cooper, so we’ve got to look at all that and see if we can all get a month or two off to go and tour. we are going to do it next summer 2023.

“I can’t wait to get back with the boys, I’m really enjoying being in this group. My band is great and wonderful, but playing with Vampires is a completely different situation.

“I don’t necessarily perform in theater at all, I’m just a singer in a band, and the band is just one of the best bands in the world! It would be nice to see Johnny and Joe and Buck and Chris and all the guys.

“We will be rocking these places, especially the UK, I can’t wait to get to the UK! Close the door, sprinkle some garlic, because the vampires are coming!”

“We can’t wait to play songs from our latest album Rise for all our fans across the pond.

“Excitement is building as we count down the days! See you soon…remember, leave the garlic at home!”

The UK tour kicks off in Scarborough on July 5th with stops in Swansea, Manchester, London and Birmingham before finishing in Glasgow on July 12th.

The band is also touring Europe, including Germany, France and Switzerland.
