Abby Chatfield has finally settled her social media spat with this year’s MAFS villains after she publicly took sides Domenico Calarco in his feud with his co-stars.

The 27-year-old TV and radio presenter angered Olivia Fraser, Daniel Holmes, Carolina Santos and others last week for simply being “jealous” of Domenica’s success after Channel Nine gave her an official web series.

Married at First Sight alums told Abby to “keep in her lane” and accused her of lacking empathy for reality stars who get bad edits – something she’ll learn all about after being cast as the “villain” on The Bachelor » in 2019.

They also said that Domenica’s sideshow was further evidence that MAFS producers had “picked favourites”.

Responding to these statements in his podcast That’s a lot this week, Abby scoffed at the suggestion that she should sympathize with MAFS villains just because she was a “bad girl” on The Bachelor three years ago.

She noted that her “rogue editing” was due to the other women on her season slut-shaming her, similar to how Domenica’s main storyline on MAFS saw her being slut-shamed for her secret OnlyFans account.

In contrast, the MAFS villains – and Olivia in particular – failed on TV because of their rudeness and the way they tried to embarrass Domenica.

“Let’s be clear, I didn’t go through what you went through,” she said.

“I’ve never been mean to anyone, I’ve never been rude to anyone, I’ve never exposed anyone’s OnlyFans. I was ashamed that I had beaten someone up [Bachelor Matt Agnew] on the beach and saying “I want to fuck you”.

“I stand up for someone who was shamed as a whore. I went through what the House went through, not what you all went through.’

As for claims of favoritism, Abby said it’s normal for producers to have “favorites” on set, especially when certain contestants, like Domenica, are emerging as “good talents.”

“Of course she’s the producer’s favorite for a number of reasons,” she said.

“There is no conspiracy theory that manufacturers have favorites. They have favorites of people with good talent.’

She also addressed criticism that she should “stay in her lane” and avoid commenting on the drama Married at First Sight.

“I actually get paid in different ways to comment on pop culture,” said Abby, who hosts a national late-night show for the Hit Network.

“My strip is actually Australian pop culture.”

The series faced opposition from some cast members who accused the network of favoritism to Domenica. In particular, it feels like several MAFS stars were unfairly painted as “villains” so she could get a flashy makeover.

Last week, her show briefly hit the Nine.com.au website but was quickly pulled, believed to be due to low traffic.
