Readers of an online technology publication and an independent panel of judges have jointly identified 50 companies that are blazing a technological trail in the insurance industry.
The InsurTech 50 celebrates businesses of all sizes that create original technologies for insurance advice, products and claims.
The CDL groupwhich ensures the completion of transactions in the markets of insurance and financial services to ensure a competitive advantage, leads the rating. The Stockport-headquartered firm’s ecosystem powers the significant growth of many of the UK insurance sector’s most profitable companies.
FloodFlash (London), stech-enabled flood insurance provider comes in second Humn (London), adan ata-driven risk platform that provides contextual driver performance evaluation.
Hubb (Glasgow) and Anansi (London) round out the top five.
Mature thinking, based in Manchester, is ranked 11th. The company delivers specialized insurance solutions to the leisure, lifestyle and small and medium business markets through its own cloud-based distribution platform.

BusinessCloud has encouraged its readers to vote for companies since the 80shortlist and saw about 700 votes.
A combination of these votes and independent jury selections determined the 50 best.
