Hilton said it was “incredibly difficult” for her to break the news, explaining the circumstances of the dog’s disappearance.

“I was at a photo shoot and we’re moving and one of the movers must have left the door open,” she said. “My family and friends helped me search the whole neighborhood and went door to door, but we still haven’t found her.”

Noting how she “does everything in [her] authorities to get her back,” Hilton said she has put a pet detective on the payroll and is considering using drones.

Hilton spoke of her despair, saying: “Anyone who has ever loved a pet and lost one will understand the pain I feel – my heart is broken.”

She added: “I was in tears, so sad and depressed. I feel like a part of me is missing and nothing would be the same without it. Diamond Baby is my everything, just like a daughter. We were inseparable, she was my best friend and was always there.”

Hilton has been tight-lipped about publicizing the search for the dog out of concern for the dog’s safety and “because people can be cruel.”

“I’m desperate and the more time goes by the further I feel from any chance of getting her back,” she said.
