Lynn’s brother, actor and musician Leif Garrett, 60, told the publication: “My sister Dawn never wanted anyone to know about the operation.

“As this has leaked out on social media, I would really appreciate everyone understanding that these have already been difficult times, having recently lost both parents and a cousin.”

Please keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers and respect our family’s privacy. Thank you.’

My Three Sons, starring Fred McMurray as father Steve Douglas, told the story of a widower raising three children with his stepfather and the children’s uncle.

The series won a Golden Globe for Best Television Show in 1962.

Dawn began acting at the age of four when she appeared as a Native American boy in the 1967 B-grade western Cry Blood, Apache at the age of 4.

In 1969, she played Prudence Everett in the ABC pilot of The Nanny and the Professor, but when the television pilot initially did not sell, her contract with ABC was released.

In 1971, she played the daughter of Gregory Peck’s character in the film Shoot, and also played the title role in a 1973 episode of Manix.

Her last screen acting credit was in the 1978 Wonder Woman episode “My Teen Idol Is Missing.”

Don quit acting in 1977 and was last known to be working in real estate.
