Lakeland Industries, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of protective clothing for industry, healthcare and emergency services at the federal, state and local levels, has expanded its strategic investments in Inova Design solutions Ltd. (runs a business like Bodytrak®) up to £ 3.5 million under the terms of an investment agreement of 18 October 2021, increasing its ownership stake to around 18%.

The additional investment will allow Bodytrak to increase production and operations and continue to position itself at the forefront of the connected workers market.

Bodytrak captures physiological data in real time from unique sensors in the ears and analyzes this data using AI and uses cloud services to provide critical ideas that protect workers from incidents caused by heat stress and fatigue. Bodytrak complements Lakeland’s industrial security solutions portfolio as the two companies turn to the growing segment of the Smart PPE market.

Thanks to this investment, Lakeland maintains its position as the largest strategic investor in Bodytrak. Existing investors include the Internet of Things special fund (“IoT”) pan-European venture investor Breed Reply.
