Contact, a software platform that helps creatives such as models and photographers gain access to vacancies, has raised £ 3 million in a round of funding supported by Game of Thrones star Macy Williams.

Contact will use start-up capital to develop product features and to expand the platform to different creative verticals.

The London-based company provides a single place for brands to find, book and communicate with creative talent.

For Creatives Contact provides tools for booking, planning, payment and communication that eliminate the need to contact an agent or manager.

The funding round was conducted by Vancouver-based firm Rhino Ventures. Additional capital was invested by Founders Fund and Riverside Ventures, as well as Sasha Koletsky of Creator Ventures and Cameo co-founders Stephen Galanis and Martin Blenkov.

“The partnership with Rhino Ventures is a significant step towards our vision of empowering creators to stimulate their own dissemination and monetization,” said Ruben Selby, founder and CEO of Contact.

Founded in 2020 by Selby, Contact previously raised £ 1.4 million in a round led by the Founders Fund.

“At an early stage of investing, we are looking for founders who are passionate about solving the big, complex problems they have faced,” said Pippa Lamb, advisor and previous investor to Contact. Lamb is also a partner of Sweet Capital.

“Ruben has been looking for a technological solution for an outdated talent reservation space for years, and could not find it. Now he is building it himself, ”Lamb added.

Rhino Ventures funds high-growth technology startups and manages $ 170 million (£ 136 million). Contact is the third investment of Rhino Ventures from Fund 3 in 120 million dollars (96 million pounds).

“The Contact solution enables creatives and brands to succeed in an industry that has largely neglected them. By providing a scalable platform for creative talent to manage and grow their business, creative people around the world can focus on what they do best, ”said David Hogarth, partner at Rhino Ventures.

Previous investments in Contact came from such Depot founder Simon Beckerman, SoundCloud co-founders Eric Walfors and Jason Kalakanis.
