Greg Evans was one of Australia’s best loved TV presenters.
In the 1980s, the 69-year-old was the face of Perfect Match, the country’s favorite dating show.
On Monday, the star appeared in a new advert for Super Sleeper Pro mattresses which aired on Sky.

“I thought I had a good mattress, but when the Super Sleeper came along, it rejuvenated me,” he said in the commercial.
“It’s like a brand new bed and my sleep is better than ever,” he added, patting the mattress he was sitting on.
The silver fox hasn’t changed much since his days as a prime-time TV host, and still has the same good looks and charisma that made him a fan favorite.

Greg hosted Perfect Match between 1984 and 1989, overseeing the union of thousands of couples.

He moved into radio in 1992, hosting Melbourne’s number one radio show on 3AW.
In 1994 he hosted a drive time show on 104.3 GOLD FM and in 1996 moved to breakfast.
A return to television followed in 1997 when Greg hosted Channel Ten from Monday to Friday.

The big screen then beckoned when the star was cast in the 1999 film Crack.

In 2001, he appeared in the comedy series “Pizza”, in the corresponding role of the host of the show “Dating”.

That same year, Greg graduated from the International College of Marriage Participants.
Just like he did on TV, Greg has brought hundreds of couples together in love and now works as Melbourne’s “Top Marriage Facilitator”.

In recent years, Greg and his wife of 45 years, Sue, hit the road, traveling around Australia in a caravan.
They split their time between an apartment in Melbourne and a lakeside cottage in Bonny Doon before setting off on their adventures.

The couple spend three months of the year – usually in the cold season – cruising in their luxury 7.6m Jayco Silverline.
“We’ve been pretty much all over Australia. Caravanning is my passion, Greg said Women’s day last year.
“It’s wonderful to return to nature in comfort! Our caravan is as big as you can get, so it really feels more like glamping than camping,” he added.

The couple has two grown children: son Jason, a veterinarian, and daughter Jodi, a university lecturer.
Greg and Sue adore their grandchildren – children Jason, 11-year-old Riley and seven-year-old Leo. – and spend as much time with them as they can.
“I love being a grandfather. I just see so many things my grandchildren are doing that their own father was doing at the same age,” Gregg told Woman’s Day.

“They haven’t been camping yet, but I want to pick them up, and it’s on the horizon. They love spending time with us at Bonny Doon.”
Greg also continues to appear on TV shows, making occasional guest appearances.
He appeared on Sunrise in 2018 showing off his wedding skills and was a guest on The Morning Show with Larry Emdur and Sally Obermeder in 2019.
