The BBC forecast predicts that the area can expect a small amount of the white stuff on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 January.

While Bolton could see some “sleet showers” between 7am and 1pm on Monday with temperatures rising between 1C and 4C, the sleet will change to “light snow” later in the evening before 11pm.

Starting at 11pm and with temperatures hovering around 1C overnight, the BBC is predicting light showers turning into “heavy snow” between 2am and 5am.

When residents wake up Tuesday morning, they’ll be in for another light snowfall between 6 a.m. and noon, when it’s forecast to change back to sleet for the rest of the day and into the night.

The temperature will drop to four degrees on Tuesday.
