Olympic swimmer Libby Trickett is selling her one-bedroom Brisbane investment property for almost $30,000 more than she paid for it

Champion swimmer Libby Trickett and her husband Luke have sold their one-bedroom, one-bathroom investment property in Brisbane for $340,000 this week.

That was nearly 10 percent more than its asking price, which was under $300,000, according to Realestate.com.au.

The five-time Olympic gold medallist, 37, put the Toowong flat on the market at the end of May.

The prime location and competitive selling price have made the couple’s ‘cap’ attractive to both investors and first home buyers.

Libby and Luke purchased the condo for just over $310,000 in January 2021.

Rising property values meant they sold it for $30,000 more in just a year without a problem.

Mel Christie, of Harcourts Property Centre, said there had been strong interest in the property.

Ms. Christie added that rent would be between $400 and $425 a week.
