The raid took place in Purbeck Place in Littlehampton earlier today.

Officers were seen leaving the property, each carrying large bags believed to be filled with Class B drugs.

The witness suggested that hundreds of plants could have been confiscated during the operation.

On Wednesday, February 15, several officers took part in the bust.

Police said the raid was conducted following a tip from the public.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “This afternoon following a tip from the public we seized a significant quantity of cannabis plants at a house in Purbeck Place, Littlehampton.

“An investigation has been launched and anyone with any information is asked to contact us online or by calling 101 quoting 601 of 14/02.”
