An appeal has been launched to help find a “good Samaritan” who gave a teenage girl a lift to the train station after she knocked on his door.

The girl knocked on the door of the man, from Boxgrove, near Chichester, between 6pm and 8pm on New Year’s Day.

The man then drove her from his home to Barnham train station.

The man’s exact address is not known but is believed to be near the roundabout on the street at the junction of Crouch Cross Lane and Church Lane.

Officers would like to speak to a member of the public who assisted her as part of their investigation.

If you can help, contact Sussex Police online or by calling 101 quoting 1317 of 01/01.
