They formed a powerful alliance on Australian survivor in 2019.

And the friendship between actress Pia Miranda, 49, and Janine Allis, 57, has clearly stood the test of time as the women reunited on Sunday to compete in Real Insurance Sydney Charity Harbor Run on Sydney Harbour.

Finding Alibrandi star Pia and Boost Juice queen Janine were spotted at the finish line posing hand-in-hand before handing out medals to race winners.

Pia ran all 10 kilometers, and Jeanine chose the five-kilometer option.

The event raised almost $60,000 for the Australian Cancer Fund (ACRF).

“I had a great run this morning. It was great to be back in Sydney and running alongside such a great community of runners,” said Pia in an official statement.

“Over the years, I have had family and friends diagnosed with various forms of cancer.

“ACRF is an organization that is very important because it funds a number of cancer research projects and the development of new treatments.”

Jeanine, meanwhile, talked about the fact that her own mother suffered from cancer.

“My mom was diagnosed with cancer, she went through it and she survived,” Janine Alice said.

“Being able to combine fitness and raising awareness for ACRF is a winning combination.”

One in three Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. The other 2 will depend on the diagnosis.

Since 1984, ACRF has enabled 81 research projects across 43 organizations – an investment of more than $171 million in cancer research across Australia.

ACRF provides grants of $1 million to $10 million to support technological equipment and infrastructure vital to the advancement of cancer research.
