Geek+ opens new UK headquarters with robotics innovation hub

Entering the wider European market only in 2019, Geek+ has successfully rolled out projects in more than 30 countries, including more than a dozen in the UK alone, with major retail chains, e-commerce providers and third-party logistics players. Warrington joined Dusseldorf, San Diego, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong and Singapore in hosting Geek+’s regional headquarters.

Brian Lee, Head of Europe and UK at Geek+, said: “This is an important day in the development of Geek+. The UK is home to some of our most exciting projects, including large-scale automated parcel sorting and the deployment of goods-to-human robotics across multiple sites. Local logistics operators and retailers in particular are recognizing the transformative value of autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and are looking to modernize their operations. We are pleased to have a fully equipped office here to serve our clients. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our new home in the UK.”

Sci-Tech Daresbury Business Park is the ideal location for Geek+ and the company joins some of the most exciting and innovative companies in the UK. At least 30 Geek+ employees (known internally as “Geekers”) will be based at the new headquarters.

Simon Houghton, Head of Sales and Marketing at Geek+, said: “I have been on this journey with Geek+ for three years and have seen exciting projects across the country. This office and its demonstration center gives us a central hub where we can show people what we do and how our AMRs can take their business to the next level.”

The demo center, open to all visitors, is the showpiece of the new office and includes a selection of AMRs from Geek+. Robots showing off their skills are the P-800 flagship pre-human picking robot, best suited to connecting inventory with warehouse workers; the award-winning RoboShuttle, which enables high-density data storage solutions; and the S-20C, a sorting robot capable of connecting disparate elements of a production or distribution line.

Sci-Tech Daresbury now boasts another leading global company that is part of the community. The Geek+ UK team looks forward to welcoming everyone to come and see the innovations that will take UK logistics into a safer, brighter and more efficient future.
