Gardai are investigating an alleged assault filmed in a central Dublin store – The Irish Times

Gardaí are investigating the incident which happened at a shop in Dublin in the early hours of Tuesday.

In a video which has emerged on social media, two women can be seen fighting in a shop on Dame Street.

One of the women is seen holding what appears to be a blade and trying to attack the other woman with it. At the end of the incident, a woman is seen with blood on her face and head.

The video shows a security guard trying to intervene before retreating as the fight continues and onlookers gather.

A spokesman for An Garda Síochána said police were investigating the attack, which took place at a retail premises in Dame Street, Dublin 2, at around 3.30am on Tuesday.

“No one has been detained, the investigation is ongoing,” he added.
