Footpaths around Entwistle Reservoir in Edgeworth have been flooded, pictures sent to the Bolton News Camera Club show.

Camera Club member Gillian McGowan took the footage, which shows large sections of footpaths near the reservoir completely submerged.

Other pictures show that the reservoir is very high.

It comes after a yellow warning for rain was issued in Bolton earlier this week.

According to the Met Office, there is a 90% chance of rain in Bolton tonight, with rain also forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures will be milder today with a high of 7°C and a low of 5°C, the strong winds seen recently will gradually ease.

On Saturday afternoon, the air temperature will be 8°C, but at night the temperature will drop to 2°C, on Sunday the air temperature will be 5°C, minimum – 0°C.

While there are no flood warnings in Bolton, there are currently 82 flood warnings and 164 flood warnings in place across England.
