A man has been charged with panhandling after police found him in the city centre Bolton.
Officers came across John Muir in Trinity Street earlier today.
He was also wanted on charges of shoplifting from Home Bargains and disorderly conduct against council officials.
The 43-year-old, of Bradford Street, Bolton, faces three charges.
These include shoplifting that starts in public and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.
He will appear in Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
Sergeant Richards, from the city center area team, said work to tackle anti-social behavior would continue.
He said: “Muir is the latest arrest in our efforts to tackle anti-social behavior and begging at traffic lights.
“We will continue to work with our partners to ensure that the necessary support continues.”
