We own, manage and support over 18,000 homes across the borough. We invest in improving the quality of our properties for tenants and build new homes to give as many people as possible the opportunity to live in a quality, affordable home.

Our work goes far beyond bricks and mortar, we fight poverty with debt and money advice, provide food and clothing and help people stay warm for less. We support tenants and residents in education and employment and tackle anti-social behaviour.

We help clients remain independent in their own homes with a community alert and adaptation service, and we work with volunteer groups to build sustainable communities.

We are a charitable public company that works to improve people’s lives by providing quality housing, enabling people to thrive and helping customers maximize their profits. To achieve this we work with a range of local charities, social enterprises and other agencies.

We are also working to make life better for the whole city region for the long term, as one of 24 housing providers in Greater Manchester working in partnership to achieve more together. We have created subsidiaries within our Bolton at Home group to acquire more properties, contract and training opportunities and provide funds to invest more in communities and neighbourhoods.

We know that successful community regeneration requires more than developing and managing homes, it requires a commitment to helping people become more socially and economically active.

Between April 2021 and March 2022, our team of money advisors helped more than 2,600 customers improve their financial situation, totaling £10.7m. Our employability programs have helped more than 200 people into paid work and more into training, and we’ve supported more than 80 voluntary and community groups.

We also provide direct financial support to voluntary, community and social partners in Bolton. We provide housing and personal support to people who are vulnerable, at risk of homelessness and victims of domestic violence and abuse. We run community projects to develop people’s skills, health and confidence, and our employees make a difference in the areas we serve through volunteering and charitable giving.
