The last draw of the Asian Cup is a few days away, and the teams have already started preparing for the big tournament. The championship is scheduled to start on August 27 and will continue until September 11, 2022. The Sri Lankan Board is responsible for hosting the mega tournament. But they will organize the tournament in the UAE due to the economic crisis.

A total of six teams will participate in the latest edition of the Asian Cup. The teams are divided into two groups, with Sri Lanka lined up with Bangladesh and Afghanistan in Group A, while defending champions India are in Group B with Pakistan. The UAE, Kuwait, Singapore and Hong Kong will compete to be part of this group.

Two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Four, where they will play each other to book a place in the finals. Therefore, the teams will strive to take first place in the Asian Cup standings.

All Asia Cup matches will be played at Dubai International Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The List of Asian Cup teams and squads have already come out, and now the fans are eagerly waiting for the start of the tournament.

When will the Asian Cup 2022 start?

The tournament will begin on August 27 with Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan in Dubai. This match will be followed by India’s first match against Pakistan on August 28. The match is also called the greatest rivalry in cricket.
