Firearms and unarmed officers attended the scene in Milfoil Drive, Eastbourne.

Police first arrived around 1.40pm today.

Several vehicles were also seen, as well as police dogs.

The road was closed while officers attended the incident but has since reopened.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Just before 12.30pm on Saturday, September 17, police received reports from a third party of a disturbance in Milfoil Drive, Eastbourne.
“Armed and unarmed officers have arrived to try and locate the people involved and establish the full circumstances.

“One man has since been identified and is assisting police with their enquiries.
“The road has been closed as a precaution while the matter continues and the public are thanked for their patience and understanding during this time.”
