An accident on Bolton Road has caused long delays in Bury

A58 Bolton The road on Buri is partially closed in both directions after an accident at the junction.

There are now long queues east of Mill Lane on Peel Way, Jubilee Way and Angoulême Way.

Movement the inrix data system reported: “A58 Bolton Road Eastbound partially blocked, traffic queued due to accident at B6213 Waterloo Rd. Delays in Bury’.

Drivers are advised to use caution once they are on approach and to avoid the area if possible by planning alternate routes.

Traffic was also backed up on Manchester Road due to the incident.

Manchester Traffic tweeted: “A58 Bolton St at Crostons Rd, Bury partially blocked both ways following collision at junction.

“Queues along Bolton Rd e/b from Mill Lane, w/b on Peel Way, Jubilee Way, Angouleme Way and Manchester Road.”

Now there is increased traffic on all roads.
