Parents of children who play for AFC Bolton played in a charity football tournament and also donated food to a local food bank.

Urban coverage Bolton benefited from the generous donations that were raised at the tournament on Sunday (July 24).

A spokesman for AFC Bolton said: “It was great to see our club come together again and everyone donate food to our local food bank.

“We all donated a large amount of food to Urban Outreach Bolton for this charity event.

“Liam and Carl did a great job organizing the day. All the players and fans were fantastic and also played some great football.

“Thanks to referees Ron, John and Jordan for refereeing the games and to the Beaumont Arms for hosting us afterwards.

“A huge thank you to everyone for participating and for all your kind donations.”
