A 44-year-old Indonesian man clicks his penis and hears a “cracking sound” during “vigorous” sex with his wife.

  • A man from Indonesia said he heard a “pop” followed by a sharp pain in his penis
  • Doctors had to peel away the skin around his penis to repair the one-inch fracture
  • But after 21 days of recovery, a man can get an erection and urinate normally

An Indonesian man clicked his penis during “vigorous” sex with his wife.

A 44-year-old resident of Bali heard a “crack” when his lover was in a cowgirl pose, and then felt excruciating pain.

She was on top of him when his penis slipped out and she fell on top of him with her perineum, the area between the vagina and anus.

His erection immediately disappeared, and the gruesome pictures show how his penis was left hanging at a right angle.

The man, who has not been named, waited three hours before going to hospital but became concerned when his penis swelled and blood started to ooze from the tip.

Doctors were forced to “de-glove” his penis, which involves removing the skin to examine the damage.

They found a one-inch (3 cm) fracture in the spongy tissue of the shaft of the penis, which swells with blood during an erection. He also ruptured his urethra.

WHAT IS A PENIS FRACTURE?

A penile fracture is a rare injury that can occur during sex.

This happens when the two areas responsible for an erection – the corpora cavernosa and the foreskin – rupture.

The corpora cavernosa is the spongy tissue of the penis that fills with blood during an erection.

Penises usually break during intercourse when a man presses against the pubic bone.

Symptoms include:

  • Moderate to severe pain
  • Bleeding from the penis
  • Dark bruises
  • Difficult urination
  • Crackle or shine
  • Immediate loss of erection

After a fracture, the penis often develops “eggplant deformity,” where it appears purple and swollen.

The penis usually has to be erect to break, a flaccid member does not have a large enough corpora cavernosa to damage.

A penile fracture should be treated immediately to minimize damage to a man’s sexual and urinary function.

Surgery is usually required to reduce blood pooling and repair damaged vessels.

Most men can go home soon after surgery, but must abstain from sex for a month.

The fairy tale was reported in International Journal of Surgical Cases doctors from Sanglah General Hospital.

Penile fractures are considered a rare injury, but when they do occur, they require emergency care.

This usually occurs during sex, and the most common position is “doggy style” when the man is behind, or cowgirl when the woman is on top.

Shortly after the accident, the man went to the emergency room, where doctors inserted a thin, flexible camera into his penis to examine the damage.

They found that the man’s urethra, the tube inside the penis that allows urine to leave the body, had ruptured.

They then rushed him to surgery and after removing the penile glove, discovered a fracture.

After the laceration was stitched up, the man was given an erection with medication to ensure that no blood could escape, and his penis was carefully bandaged.

After a 21-day period, the 44-year-old man reportedly made a full recovery and was able to maintain an erection and urinate normally.

Discussing the case, urologist Dr. Muhlis Yusuf, one of the doctors who treated the man, said that different sexual positions can lead to penile fractures.

In the report of the case, they wrote: “The most common energetic sexual position was ‘doggy style.’

“Another study also found that penile fracture usually occurs when a woman is in a superior position.”

Dr Yusuf added that a potential complication of such injuries is that men are ashamed of their injuries and therefore delay seeking help.

Doctors do not specify when exactly the man was injured.

Although the case report said the man made a full recovery and was able to resume sex without pain, it did not detail whether he was given painkillers or antibiotics during his recovery.

It also did not explain whether the stitches placed on the man during the operation were dissolvable or had to be removed later.
