As in previous years, 1,000 places are available for South Korean citizens in 2022.

Most of the seats were allocated during the first round of voting in January this year, while the remaining seats will be available during the second round of voting in July 2022. If your application is successful, you will be able to live, work and study in the UK for up to 2 years.

How to apply to vote

If you wish to apply for the program, you must send one email to:SouthKorea.YMS2022@fcdo.gov.uk between noon (12:00) on Monday, July 25, 2022 and noon on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 (Seoul time).

The email account will only be open for 48 hours, and all emails received during this time will be automatically replied with an acknowledgment of receipt. Please remember to check your junk mail boxes.

After voting has closed, UKVI will randomly select the remaining seats. If successful, a second email will be sent to you by Friday 29 July to confirm acceptance and provide further instructions on how to make an appointment, as well as the documentary evidence required to apply for an entry permit.

Please note that successful applicants must prepare online applications and online credit card payments no later than August 30, 2022. If you do not make an online payment by this date, your name will be automatically removed from the list and your distribution will be revoked. After paying online, you have 90 days to make an appointment at the Visa Application Center (VAC) and submit your documents for review.

If you are a South Korean citizen living abroad, you can also apply according to the instructions above, and if you are selected to apply, you will be able to do so in your country/territory of residence. You cannot apply for the Youth Mobility Program in the UK.

If unsuccessful, you will be notified by email by July 29 and no further action is required.
